Denaturated alcohol

Denatured alcohol is ethanol (ethyl alcohol) made unfit for human consumption by adding one or more chemicals (denaturants). 

Ethanol is used in many areas of daily life, it is a good solvent for fats and plastics, it is miscible in water, gasoline and in most other common solvents. It is stable, colorless, volatile and flammable. It can act as a disinfectant (from 40%).
