The Microset 121 Forming Putty is a two-part synthetic rubber putty designed for macroscopic molding of surface shape and form. The two components of the product are mixed in equal parts by hand, then the compound is pressed against the surface to be replicated.

  • Maximum Shrinkage: Less than 0.1%. 
  • Color: Part A – Yellow, Part B – Blue, Mixed – Green. 
  • Usable Temperature Range: -10°C to +150°C. 
  • Specific Gravity: 1.15  
  • Packaging: kit consisting of two pots in two sizes
    - 500 g Kit (250 g Tub Part A + 250 g Tub Part B);
    - 2 kg Kit (1 kg Tub Part A + 1 kg Tub Part B).  

Grades and Applications 

The Microset 121 Forming Putty is available in two versions to facilitate ease of use over a wide range of temperatures:  

  • 121F: Working life of 3 minutes and cure time of 10 minutes at 25°C.
    Fast-curing, two-part putty, mixed and applied by hand.
    Ideal for molding and measurement of surface profiles and geometry. Use in low or room temperature conditions where rapid results are required. 
  • 121S: Working life of 20 minutes and cure time of 60 minutes at 25°C.
    Slow-curing, two-part putty, mixed and applied by hand.
    Particularly useful for higher ambient temperature conditions or when molding large areas.
